ACHIEVEMENTS

  • June 1, 2006 - District Attorney Judy A. Newcomb was awarded a $438,000 Department of Justice Hurricane Fraud Grant for the formation of the Baldwin County Hurricane Fraud Response Team. The Hurricane Response Team will educate the citizens of Baldwin County on types of Hurricane Fraud and prosecute individuals who commit fraud.   • June 27, 2006 - District Attorney Judy A. Newcomb established the Youth Excellence Support Partnership. Y E S is a partnership with local schools, law enforcement, teachers, parents and students to address ways to combat illegal drug usage, potential violence, school security and disruptive behavior. District Attorney Newcomb has a strong commitment to the education component in crime prevention as well as a no-nonsense policy to dangerous juveniles.
